According to Ayurvedic science, water kept in a copper container (referred to as a Tamra Jal in Ayurvedic medicine) gently infuses the water with copper's beneficial health properties, balancing the three doshas that make up your body: vata, kapha, and pitta. Water kept in a copper container will naturally become alkaline, which aids in keeping the pH levels in your body in balance.
